Broken Bridge

Despite the name, the Broken Bridge is quite safe.  It leads across a causeway at West Lake in Hangzhou, China to a small island, probably the most beautiful and culturally rich place I visited during my trip.  This view just before sunrise in the late dawn shows the bridge emerging from the mist of the lake, as if awakening from a long night’s sleep.
